Celebrate National Public Land’s Day on Saturday, September 26 by participating in a Westside creekway cleanup! Join the San Antonio River Authority, Parks and Recreation, Thrive Youth Center, and District 5 for a litter cleanup along the Alazan Creekway.

All supplies provided, including trash bags, gloves, and litter grabbers. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, sunblock and a hat, and bring a reusable water bottle.

Volunteer: Invasive Bamboo Removal at Brackenridge Park

Join Brackenridge Park Conservancy’s for an invasive bamboo removal volunteer event! Help cut down invasive bamboo growing in the park and prepare it for re-use for the San Antonio Zoo. We will be removing the bamboo growing along Avenue B.

All materials will be provided (loppers, gloves, eye protection, and knee pads). Bring a water bottle, sunblock, and bug spray. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes.

Please Note: This event requires lifting of objects up to 20lbs in weight, kneeling on uneven ground, bending over, and navigating tripping hazards.

All volunteers must be 18 & up.

Join Brackenridge Park Conservancy’s for an invasive bamboo removal volunteer event! Help cut down invasive bamboo growing in the park and prepare it for re-use for the San Antonio Zoo. We will be removing the bamboo growing along Avenue B.

Calling all helping hands, butterfly enthusiasts, pollinator protectors, and nature lovers! Join us behind the scenes of the 11th Annual Monarch Butterfly & Pollinator Festival as we transform Brackenridge Park into a day of wonder, discovery, and hands-on nature education for more than 10,000 community members.

Volunteer opportunities are available Thursday, October 1 through Saturday, October 3 and include festival setup, decorating, educational activations, guest engagement, logistics, and breakdown. Whether you have a few hours to give or want to bring a volunteer group, we'd love to have you involved. We offer a variety of roles and will do our best to match volunteers with their interests and abilities.  After submitting the interest form, our team will follow up with placement details and logistics.
