Join the Friends of McAllister Park for our monthly Trash Pick-Up Pop Up this Friday, September 30th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Our Trash Pick Up Pop Up is a monthly one-hour trash pickup in McAllister Park and is a great thing to fit in after work or school and before the weekend!
SEPTEMBER MEETING SPOT: Meet near the Salado Creek Greenway trailhead in the big parking lot on Buckhorn Rd. This is the parking lot that is next to the big open field between the dog park and the bicycle pump track. The closest entrance to this area is the Wurzbach Parkway entrance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Please wear closed-toed shoes and we recommend long sleeves and pants to avoid getting pricked by branches and bushes. Wear bug spray and sunscreen as needed.
WHAT WE'LL PROVIDE: We will provide litter buckets, gloves, trash bags, trash grabbers, safety vests and cold drinks. If you have an extra trash grabber please bring it with you.
REQUIRED: You will be required to fill out the San Antonio Parks and Rec Safety waiver by scanning a QR code.
