Join the Friends of McAllister Park and assist with Johnson grass removal.
Johnson grass is considered one of the 10-most noxious weeds in the world and we've got it in McAllister Park! Help us keep McAllister Park beautiful by slowing the spread of this terrible weed.
We will hand trim seed heads, and if the soil is moist, we will hand pull or shovel out the underground rhizomes (tuberous roots).
When: Sunday, Dec. 4; Friday, Dec. 9; Sunday, Dec. 11; Friday, Dec. 16
Timeframe: 10am - 11am
Where: Meet at Al Becken Pavilion in McAllister Park
